Hi everyone and thanks for visiting The Dad Workout!
I’ve been a husband and father for over 10 years and have had a passion for health and fitness for over 20 years. Even so, being healthy and fit has not been an easy road. I was “the chubby kid” in high school – I wasn’t and my nutritional habits were terrible.
In college though, I really started to make fitness a priority. I was hitting the gym regularly and really started to see some progress. I was fit and strong and others started taking notice – people were asking advice on workouts, nutrition, and supplementation. I was no longer “the chubby kid” and was now that “fit guy.”
Fast forward a few years and I’m now married to my wonderful wife and am blessed to have three amazing children. As awesome as it is to be a dad though, it is an incredibly tough job – juggling completing a master’s degree, 80-hour work weeks, late-night feedings, changing diapers, helping with homework, and the million other things that come with being a family man.
As challenging as it can be to maintain a healthy lifestyle as a modern-day dad though, I’ve been able to do it. For over 10 years of being a family man I’ve been able to maintain or improve my strength, my endurance, and my waistline. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been worth it.
In creating The Dad Workout, I wanted to create a space where everyday dads can come to find helpful and practical information on topics like training, programming, nutrition, and supplementation that can be applied to everyday life.
